Italian Delegation to Israel, 28th June- 2nd July 2009
We are glad to inform you that an Italian delegation from the Lombardy Region was visiting Israel between June 28th and July the 2nd.
The above mentioned delegation was led by Mr. Enrico Perotti, President of Lodi Chamber of Commerce, and was composed by representatives from farmers´ associations, research centers dealing with agriculture and veterinary and from Parco Tecnologico Padano (PTP).
The PTP (http://en.tecnoparco.org) is a Center of Excellence for the Agro-Food Biotechnologies strongly supported in Lodi by the Lombardy Region Authority and the University of Milan.
Moreover, a PTP´s specific division - CERSA, Agro-food Research Center, deals with innovative research on genomics and genetic diversity of traits in the field of crop and livestock production and traceability of derived products. An international cooperation unit helps the dissemination of results and the building of partnerships.
The aim of the visit was to get in contact with the Israeli realities active in the same field of the PTP, and to look for future cooperation projects and opportunities.
