The Israel-Italy Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its partnership with the Italian project “Mirabilia” for the year 2015.
The Project “Mirabilia” was launched in 2012 and is led by the Matera Chamber of Commerce, which created a network dedicated to the promotion of territories and routes in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Italian cities of Brindisi, Genoa, La Spezia, Matera, Messina, Padua, Perugia, Salerno, Udine and Vicenza, will enjoy greater visibility abroad, through the collaboration of the network of the Italian Chambers of Commerce around the world, aiming to gain popularity amongst visitors from abroad.
These Italian cities have been nominated by UNESCO as world heritage sites, and are just few of the 49 present in Italy. Among these sites are the “Sassi di Matera”, the Dolomites, the Amalfi Coast and the Aeolian Islands.
The project aims at increasing visibility of many less known UNESCO recognized Italian touristic sites amongst the wider Italian and international markets, by organizing promotional events and organized tour for international tour operators dealing with Italian tourist incoming market
This year event will take place in Lipari, an island near the Sicilian city of Messina. On this occasion, the Chamber of Commerce will lead a delegation of Israeli tour operators that will see all the important tourist, cultural and historical sites of this part of Sicily, not very well known to the Israeli market, that tend to be familiar more with the classic touristic routes
